James graduated from the University of Sydney in 1992 and was awarded a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy from Griffith University in 2002.

James has been awarded the APA sports physiotherapist title, which he has held since 2003.

He is certified in the McKenzie method of treating spinal and musculo-skeletal pain.

James has extensive post graduate training in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy.

In addition to general physiotherapy practice, James has a special interest in sports injuries and spinal pain.

James was part of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Medical team in the role of Sports Physiotherapist at the track and field, badminton, weight lifting and wrestling venues.
